LETTER: What is going on in your area?
However, the council decided to axe this to save money, in my opinion, a small price to pay for the service it gives.
When I realised this, I set up a weekly search on the council website that was supposed to send me emails of applications in the Billingshurst area, but I have received very few, up until now, when two arrive in two days when I discover a whole raft of applications that gone through done and dusted including the aforementioned wood burner (DC/15/0047).

Hide AdThe HDC response to the application blandly states ‘The location of the proposed development centrally within the industrial site did not require the application to be subject of a press advertisement’.
This appears to me to be yet another example of HDC trying to pull the wool over our eyes with regards to planning.
Whether this application should have been permitted or not, we ought to have the right to know what is going on.
Do you know what is going on in your area? So much for localism.
