Hide AdHe has entered every year since the competition began four years ago and this is the first time he has taken the title.
As well as the coveted trophy, he won a £25 voucher generously donated by Hillier Garden Centre.
Another prize winner was Dilly Cooper who won the Judge’s Favourite Carved Pumpkin. Judges, Duncan England, David Hilliam of Mannings Heath Horticultural Society and Phillip Martin of Hillier Garden Centre had a tough decision to make, as the style, size and shape of all the pumpkins varied hugely.
At 11am the curtains were drawn and the lights switched off so they could be seen in their full spooky glory, illuminated only by tiny battery operated tea lights.
