Playgroup children help plant trees for the future
A pack of 120 saplings trees of 8 different types was supplied by the Woodland Trust whose aim is to inspire people to plant trees and enjoy the many benefits that woodland has to offer.
Lynn Roberts, manager of the playgroup, and lead outdoor practitioner said ‘Many trees in this woodland were lost in the great storm of 1986.

The playgroup, which is based at Holy Trinity Church Hall in Rushams Road, Horsham runs an Outdoor Club for 8 children one morning a week in the woodland. Lynn said ‘the children love coming to the woods and regular visits have proved beneficial to their social, emotional and communication skills’
