Take a leaf out of Helen's book
I know from my work on Blue Peter how important it is for children to use their imaginations and to think creatively, which is why we have put together an engaging, fun-packed resource on the theme Space and Other Worlds for children aged three to 11 year.
Readability, supported by the financial services provider Foresters, has been created in partnership with teachers and librarians. Activities include reading, drawing and code breaking, helping children with their reading skills as well as raising awareness about disability and how it can impact on lives.

Hide AdBy taking part in Readability, local schools will benefit from retaining 50 per cent of the funds raised. The remainder will support Leonard Cheshire Disability's work with disabled people in local services, such as St Bridget's in Ilex Close.
I will be visiting one of the schools who sign up to the programme later in the year. Please visit www.lcdisability.org/readability to find out more or to sign up.
It's really easy to take part in Readability. You can register your interest by emailing [email protected] or by calling 08450 552195.
