Government issues message to Chichester residents and students

A Government minister has tried to reassure Chichester residents and students as the new university term gets underway.

Universities minister Michelle Donelan said she wanted to reassure the people of Chichester that 'every effort' is being made by the Government to ensure the beginning of term takes place as 'safely and sensibly as possible'.

She said: “This is a challenging time for us all, and I recognise that some residents in university towns and cities such as Chichester, and its surrounding areas, may feel nervous ahead of the start of the academic term.
