This was for safety reasons while demolition work was conducted, insurance assessments completed and adjoining property secured.
“Thankfully, this work is now nearly at the end and it is hoped that Grand Parade will be able to reopen on Monday.”
It is still not yet known what caused the fire which destroyed the Claremont on November 22 last year.
Demolition contractors have been on the site since the start of 2020.
