Hailsham mayor ‘delighted’ after country park becomes more ‘disabled-friendly’
The pathway at Hailsham Country Park was resurfaced with uniform tarmac which, officials say, will make it more accessible for disabled users.
Town mayor Paul Holbrook said, “Hailsham Country Park is a much-loved community site and provides local users with many opportunities to enjoy the vibrant open space for leisure and other activities.

Councillor Richard Grocock said, “We hold great pride in our open spaces and work hard to ensure the high standards expected from users of the spaces are met.
“We endeavour to undertake necessary maintenance, repairs, restoration and improvement of the country park and make it as accessible as possible for members of the local community.”
