Hastings area mum builds new career during lockdown with amazing animal pictures

A local mum picked up her paintbrushes after 22 years to find that her lockdown art was in great demand.
Penny Williams, from Three oaks, near Hastings, explained: “I am a hair and makeup artist usually but obviously with lockdown I haven’t been working so have had no income.

Hide Ad“I picked up a paintbrush after 22 years three weeks ago and did a couple of watercolour tutorials as something to do with my husband in the evenings to wind down from home schooling two kids all day, and found myself really enjoying it.

“I then painted one of our chickens and posted it on a poultry keeping FB page I am on and people started asking me to paint their chickens.
“I then got requests for dogs and other animals and in the last three weeks I have done 17 commissions with more in the pipeline! I have now set up my own pages on FB and Instagram - @pennyslockdownart.”
