Haywards Heath police officers treated to a random act of kindness as part of online craze

Yesterday evening (March 1), Crawley Police tweeted that their colleagues in Mid Sussex were 'recipients of a lovely unexpected gift on their vehicle today, whilst at the Princess Royal Hospital assisting a vulnerable person'.
They said a 'big thank you' for the random act of kindness, adding it 'meant a lot'.

Hide AdThe gesture was part of an online craze sweeping social media called Hit The Ambulance - which despite its name, actually entails leaving treats on the windscreens of emergency service vehicles.
A Facebook group called Hit The Ambulance Gamers has more than 32,000 members and says its aim 'is to bring a smile to our hard working emergency services and have a little fun while doing so'.
