KFC at Hastings re-opens for take-away food

Up until last week the branch had only been open for delivery firms, such as Just Eat and Deliveroo to collect.
People can now show their order at a window and wait in a socially distanced queue for their order number to be called.

Hide AdThe menu will be limited to lower the number of staff needed across work stations, and staff work zones will be two metres apart, with just one person per station.
The inside dining area remains closed.
The move comes after KFC reopened some outlets, including Hastings, for delivery only in April. Prior to that it had been closed entirely due to the lockdown measures, put in place to stop the spread of the coronavirus. The full closure of all KFC eateries for sit down and takeaway meals happened in mid-March.
At the time of closing all restaurants, KFC said it would shut its doors to “protect the wellbeing and safety” of staff and customers.
The Hastings branch has been delivering to key workers and to staff in care homes, such as Cedarwood in Battle - a home for people who have dementia.
