Worthing girl raises hundreds of pounds for the Royal British Legion with her crocheted poppies

Broadwater CE Primary School pupil Molly Parkinson, ten, wanted to support the Poppy Appeal last year but in the end, decided she was too late.
So this year, she was well prepared and for the past six weeks, she has been busy with her crochet, making 107 poppies in total.

Hide AdMum Kimberley Baldo said: “My daughter has been working very hard crocheting poppies to sell in aid of the Royal British Legion. She has raised £330 and we are very proud of her.
“She wanted to do something last year but thought of it too late. She was better prepared this year and starting in September, I put a post on Facebook, and friends and family have brought them.”
