And in a separate story, tributes have been paid to ex-councillor and deputy mayor, Jane Amstad, who died on Saturday (May 29), aged 87.
Two Hastings men and one Winchelsea man also have been convicted in connection with a house fire which killed a mother and her young son in Eastbourne. The full story is in today’s Observer.
