Pett village voice
In his announcements, the Chairman referred to the recent loss of two members of the village: Trevor Hindson and Betty Dymott. Betty, who had been born in the village and spent the greater part of her life in Pett, was a great village character who would be sorely missed.
The Council heard from County Councillor Carl Maynard about the Link Road and Broadband. Rother District Councillor Robin Patten spoke about the need for a parish councillor to take responsibility for general emergencies and also talked about the issue of housing.

Hide AdAmong other items discussed were the need for a footpath officer, the annual accounts and the poor bus service.
At the meeting of Pett WI held on Friday May 18 members were delighted to receive a certificate for the 95th anniversary of Pett WI. Just five years to go to the centenary!
Church Services on Sunday May 27 – WHITSUNDAY – Baptism & Parish Communion, St Mary & St Peter, Pett at 9:30am; Sunday Service at the Methodist Chapel at 10:45am.
On Tuesday May 29 POPP will feature local history. The session runs from 10:30am to 2:30pm and will include a two-course lunch for just £5.

Hide AdThe Mobile Library will be in Pett and Pett Level on Wednesday May 30. It will start at the Church at 10.10am, moving on to Chick Hill at 10:50am and finishing at The Smuggler at 11.20am.
