Bears add musical twist to Gatwick Airport expansion debate
Members of Communities Against Gatwick Noise Emissions carried out the peaceful protest with song and dance to raise awareness of the polar ice caps melting due to air pollution.
A CAGNE spokesman said: “The event was friendly and fun with the bears dancing and passengers joining in chanting and understanding the plight of the world concerning climate change. Polar bears symbolising the ice melting due to climate change.

Hide Ad“To build a new runway at Gatwick Airport or anywhere in the South East will breach climate targets.
“The bears were helped by some local concerned residents from Kent, Sussex and Surrey and took about 15 minutes before bears left the terminal having made their point on climate change.
“This is the first time that the bears have been to Gatwick Airport and provides an indication of the growing concerns over the damage a new runway at Gatwick would have on the local environmental as well as the world.”
