Hide AdSocial workers, occupational therapists and care workers continue to support our most vulnerable residents – helping children, families and young people adults and older residents, who need social care and mental health support.
West Sussex Fire & Rescue Service is supporting partner organisations.
Staff are carrying out extra training alongside SECAmb to support the ambulance service if needed, supporting adult social care teams with the patient hospital discharge management and working with the Sussex Resilience Forum (SRF) they are coordinating and delivering emergency food and PPE supplies.
Other services have adapted to the crisis. The registration service team has responded to new legislation and supported residents as they face changes to weddings, civil partnerships and other ceremonies; the transport co-ordination teams have been taking children of key workers to school and the meals on wheels service continues to deliver meals to vulnerable residents.
