The St Wilfrid’s Hospice Open Gardens Scheme has been running for many years, giving visitors a chance to wander round a number of private gardens that are not usually open to the public.
Communications volunteer Cathy Clark said: “The proud owners will be on hand to share some of their gardening tips and homemade refreshments are available.

Some of the owners have been part of the event for many years, while others are new to the scheme. The gardens range from small to large and formal to simple country gardens.
