Round the world tandem challenge set for success for former Midhurst pupil

George, from Pulborough is accompanied by university friend, John Whybrow from Norfolk. Their challenge to cycle the world and raise £100,000 for Porchlight, a Canterbury homeless charity, Great Ormond Street Hospital and Water Aid, took two years of planning.
They are expected to arrive in Portsmouth by ferry next Friday, March 24 and cycle via Duncton, Fittleworth, and Pulborough, on to London. They leave London on Saturday for Canterbury Cathedral where the journey began and where they will be many friends, family, sponsors and charity representatives waiting to welcome them home.

Hide AdThe cyclists are currently cycling through Spain, via Madrid; one of the two points that they had to visit as part of the Guinness World Record attempt. The other was Christchurch, New Zealand.
