Hide AdEngineers from the energy company restored the connection to most of the homes by 9.22am but more than 200 are still left without power.
It follows a cut on Wednesday (January 6) which saw more than 2,000 homes across Wick and parts of Littlehampton left without power.
UK Power Networks has now launched a full investigation into the blackout.
It is believed that a fault in high-voltage power distribution network is the main cause.
“We are sorry for the inconvenience caused, particularly following a power cut in this area last Wednesday. The cause is being investigated,” the spokeswoman said.
