Selfish drivers to face hefty fines
From tomorrow (Saturday), members of Hastings Borough Council's enforcement team will start handing out tickets to drivers who park selfishly.
This could be by stopping people getting in and out of their own driveway, causing disruption and holding up traffic.

Hide AdCouncil spokesman Caroline Kelly said: "Until now we have been powerless to help people who have phoned us to say they can't get in or out of their property thanks to a badly parked car across their driveway.
"This new legislation doesn't mean we can tow cars away but we can issue parking fines of up to 70 and that should make a driver think twice before doing it again."
