St Stephens Church fair
Not only was there plenty to buy from the range of stalls selling everything from toys and books to hand-knitted baby clothes and tea cosies, Christmas cards and hand-crafted woodwork, bric a brac and gifts, there was also a raffle and popular tombola.
Children were entertained with games such as 'guess the dolls name' or 'guess the weight of the Christmas cake' - which was beautifully made and iced by Janet Barnett, and with the prospect of whomever guessed the weight correctly taking the scrumptious looking cake home, understandably she said the game had proved to be, "very popular."

Hide AdHome made cakes were quick to sell out; teas, coffees and snacks were also served.
The Reverend David Frost said that funds raised from the event will go into the church funds and that they had had a "very good turn-out."
