Thousands raised for Seagulls' charity at Brighton Marathon
A total of 54 people tackled the two events for Albion in the Community (AITC) – with 42 running the 10k and another dozen taking on the longer distance.
It was the most runners the charity has ever had taking part in the Brighton Marathon weekend and the money raised will now help fund AITC’s disability football sessions and other work across Sussex.

Emma Brockhurst, fundraising events executive at AITC, said: “To have so many people running for AITC was fantastic. The money they have raised will make a real difference to the charity and we can’t thank them enough for taking up the challenge.
“Having Chris Hughton come along to meet everyone beforehand was a brilliant surprise for the runners and gave them a real boost.
“On behalf of everyone at AITC, I’d like to say a big thank you to everyone who took part.”
