Toddington homes bid thrown out
Living conditions for residents of some of the homes would have been unacceptable because of high noise levels from nearby businesses, Arun's development control committee heard.
Concerns over noise were a major reason for the committee to refuse planning permission, along with the developers' failure to include measures to encourage people living on the site to make use of bus and cycling facilities, to reduce car journeys.

Hide AdResidents, Littlehampton Town Council and conservation groups also raised many objections against the plans by developers Laing Homes and George Wimpey, including the impact on already over-stretched schools, roads and health facilities.
