Unanimous backing for Littlehampton Community Charter
It follows a packed-out meeting hosted by Littlehampton Civic Society and the East Beach Residents’ Association on Friday night, when there was 100 per cent support for the charter at the town council’s Millennium Chamber.
Those attending the meeting agreed with the charter’s principles of protecting the town’s community assets such as the Windmill Entertainment Centre, Swimming and Sports Centre, Crown post office and health facilities, as well as helping to shape future development through both the town council’s neighbourhood plan and Arun District Council’s local plan.

Town and county councillor Ian Buckland said he would press for that to happen.
The signing session tomorrow takes place from 11am-1pm at St. Mary’s Church hall, Church Street, Littlehampton, during the Civic Society’s regular coffee morning.
Representatives of all organisations and societies in Littlehampton, together with individual residents, are asked to add their signature to the charter to show their solidarity.
