Met Office weather warning for Sussex as heatwave set to end

The county has been basking in glorious sunshine with temperatures regularly topping 30 degrees Celsius during the last week.
But that is all set to end tonight (August 12) as thunderstorms roll in.

Hide AdA yellow weather warning has been issued for West Sussex by the Met Office tonight, and this will apply to both East and West Sussex from tomorrow (August 13) until Monday, August 17.
The Met Office said that 'some places are likely to see severe thunderstorms during Thursday, but with significant uncertainty in location and timing', and from Friday onwards 'further heavy showers and thunderstorms are expected at times and may lead to some flooding or travel disruption'.
