Chemugo pulls away for big race glory
Wearing number two, Chemugo became the 13th Kenyan winner of the Hastings Lions Club-organised event in the last 15 years with a provisional time of 1:06:17.
Ethiopian runner Tadele Geremew, who had beaten Chemugo in Bath two weeks ago, was second in 1:06:43 after Chemugo pulled away in the last couple of miles.

There was an excellent result for Hastings Athletic Club ace Daniel Anderson, who came sixth in 1:12:36. Fellow local man, Jeff Pyrah, was close behind in 13th.
Jane Muia, another Kenyan, took the women’s title, as expected, in 1:14:10, although she was only 14 seconds ahead of runner-up Justina Heslop (Clapham Chasers).
