Winning the toss the hosts Keymer chose to bowl first on a sunny afternoon. A brilliant opening burst from youngster Ronan Pithie reduced the visitors to 26-6 with Pithie picking up his first senior five wicket haul with figures of 5 for 17. The rest of the Keymer attack also performed well with the visitors being dismissed for 86. The Keymer batsman made short work of the total completing the run chase for the loss of only 1 wicket with Jacob Montgomery leading the way with 55*.
The 2nd XI travelled to Rotherfield CC for their 5th Division clash. Having won the toss and choosing to bat KHCC couldn’t make the most of the opportunity falling for just 89. The keymer bowling attack could do nothing to prevent the inevitable loss with the hosts racing to the total in 20 overs without the loss of a wicket.
