Davis stuns Scot to reach quarters
The St Leonards cueman beat world number five Stephen Maguire 5-3 in the last 16 of the Shanghai Masters.
"Stephen made the bigger breaks, I needed two or three chances to win frames, although I didn't seem to miss that much," said Davis, who has been in the best form of his life over the past 18 months and is even pushing for a place in the top 16.

Hide AdDavis, the world no.20, trailed 2-1 and 3-2 before reeling off three successive frames - with a top run of 53 - to set up a quarter-final against Jamie Burnett on Friday.
It means that the 38-year-old, who won the last two frames to edge out Marco Fu in round one, has matched his best ever ranking event performance.
It will be his third appearance in a ranking event quarter-final and first since the 2001 Scottish Open. Burnett is also through to the last eight for the third time, although his most recent quarter-final was in the 1998 Grand Prix.
Return here Friday lunchtime to find out how Davis gets on.
