Egerton reach national quarters
The Bexhill club surged into the last eight of the Yetton Plate courtesy of a stunning 102-33 thrashing of Dorchester at Palmerston IBC, Fareham, on Saturday.
Dorchester, in fact, conceded the game with 20 ends overall still to play as Egerton - who were cheered on by 10 supporters - were dominant in all four rinks.

Hide AdJo Morris, Alice Phillimore, Doris Wickenden and Mandy Carrie won 36-9, Emma Cooper, Di Stone, Nina Allbut and Lorraine Kemp won 19-8, Jean Noble, Doreen Hough, Marje Hendle and Jan Pilcher won 20-11, and Roma Dalby, Denise Hodd, Di Carpenter and Lyndsey Jamison won 27-5.
Egerton - who were runners-up two years ago - will face Honiton, from Devon, in the quarter-finals on Saturday February 14 at a venue to be arranged.
The other last eight ties, incidentally, will pit Doncaster against Louth, Bromsgrove against Beccles and Tye Green against King George or Swale.
Egerton defeated Victory 77-72, Preston 86-74 and Horsham 100-60 in the earlier rounds.
