Bexhill target county final
The Pirates will take on Oakwood in a Sussex County Football League Division Two Challenge Cup semi-final at The Oval, home of Eastbourne United AFC, tonight (Tuesday). Kick-off is 7.45pm.
“It’s definitely a game we would expect to win,” said McCreadie, who hopes to welcome back long-term injury victim Ashley Jarvis. “I will have my proper side and with my strongest squad, we should beat anybody in the league.”

Bexhill pulled the curtain down on their home programme for the season with a narrow defeat against second-placed Broadbridge Heath on Saturday. A goal shortly after the hour denied the Pirates a point against a Heath side which has lost just two league matches all term.
Jamie Salvidge had an effort saved by the away goalkeeper on 12 minutes and Heath opened the scoring a minute later through what McCreadie described as a soft goal scored by Tiago Andrade.
Bexhill were level within two minutes, though, as Danny Turner became the club’s 18th different scorer this season following a good pass by Jacob Shelton. That was only the 20th league goal Heath have let in all term.
Heath won it in the 64th minute when Andrade headed home a long throw at the near post. Shelton had a great chance just before that and later went off with a twisted ankle.
