The second tier of English football is becoming renowned as a hotbed for developing talented footballers - only this week, Bayern Munich closed in on a deal for Reading's Omar Richards - and the 2020/21 season has seen a number of Championship players put themselves in the shop window for a big move this summer.
Brighton & Hove Albion's season remains on a knife-edge, and they'll be desperate to pick up some points to avoid dropping into the relegation zone over the coming weeks:
1. David Brooks - Bournemouth
The technically-gifted midfielder has continued to see his career hampered by injury, but he's got a bright future ahead of him once he overcomes his ankle problems. At his best, he's far too good for the Championship. Photo: Marc Atkins
2. Adam Armstrong - Blackburn Rovers
Newcastle United missed an absolute trick letting their youth academy product go, but they're in for a tasty sell-on clause when he inevitably leaves this summer. He's scored 37 goals across the past two seasons. Photo: Nathan Stirk
3. Harvey Elliott - Liverpool (loan)
He's destined for big things, but, at the age of 17, he's likely to be given another season or two out on loan. The tenacious winger has scored five goals and made nine assists for Blackburn Rovers so far this season. Photo: Jan Kruger
4. Bryan Mbeumo - Brentford
Eyebrows were raised when Mbeumo opted not to move on last season, after a stellar 2019/20 campaign in which the winger scored 15 goals. He's capable of playing on either wing, too, which is a bit of a bonus. Photo: Mike Hewitt
