Chatham book FA Cup trip to Hastings
The U’s will entertain Chatham Town in the first qualifying round on Saturday September 8, kick-off 3pm.
Town, who play in Ryman Division One North - the division below Hastings, booked their trip to The Pilot Field by running out 2-1 winners at home to Sussex County League Peacehaven & Telscombe at the weekend.

Hide AdHastings have not enjoyed the best of fortune in the competition in recent years because they last won a tie in September 2006 when they triumphed 2-0 away to Dartford.
Since then they have suffered early exits against Ramsgate, Dartford, Farnborough, Bognor Regis Town and, most recently, at home to Cray Wanderers, missing out on thousands of pounds in prize-money.
In fact, they haven’t made any sort of impact in the FA Cup since 2002 when George Wakeling’s side reached the first round proper.
