The Reds’ third consecutive win under Young has moved them up to 21st in the table, three points clear of the League Two drop zone.
Crawley have won their last two league games since the 33-year-old took temporary charge two weeks ago.

“I feel like I’m more than ready [to take the job],” said Young after his side beat fourth-placed Mansfield. “I’m excited for the prospect, so if it’s me that gets the job then brilliant.”
Reds co-owner Preston Johnson has declared Young as a potential candidate for the job, whilst Chris Galley, the club’s technical director, said Crawley will ‘see how this week goes’ before making an official announcement.
The Reds have now scored ten goals in three games under Young. In contrast, the team managed just ten goals in 12 League Two matches under former manager Kevin Betsy.

“If I get the job then fantastic. But whoever it is, I just hope they continue to build on what we’ve done over this past week.”
Ashley Nadesan, Crawley’s number ten, won the man of the match award after netting twice against the Stags.
On the prospect of Young getting the manager’s job permanently, the striker said: “The training and tempo is unreal. All the lads are thriving and he’s a great candidate for it.”
