He said: “Of all the ways to lose a game that was probably the worst. It was just a fluke, freak, whatever you want to call it, but one thing’s for sure it certainly wasn’t deserved because we were magnificent tonight - every single one of them.”

Hide AdAsked if it was the best performance of his three-month tenure, White replied: “Very possibly. It was the nearest to what I want from my players by a long stretch.
“Cugs (Folkestone manager Neil Cugley) has just said to me ‘you deserved it in extra-time’. For him to say that is firstly a nice compliment and secondly probably a fair reflection on the game I thought.
“For the first quarter of an hour we never really got going, but from then on till half time I thought we were the better side. We nicked a goal straight after half time and we’re right back in it. Then we gave away a quality goal, but again we’ve shown the right character and right desire to get back into the game.”
