Hastings look to bounce back from opening day defeat
The U’s were edged out 1-0 away to Hampton & Richmond Borough on the opening weekend in the Ryman Premier despite having the better of the game.
The only goal came a couple of minutes before half time when the visitors were punished for some slack defensive play.

Hide AdHastings had the opportunities to get something out of the match but ultimately failed to test the home goalkeeper enough.
Margate, on the other hand, made a winning start to their campaign with a comfortable 2-0 defeat of Hendon at Hartsdown Park. Among the scorers was former Hastings striker Carl Rook who came off the substitutes’ bench to claim the decisive second goal.
Hastings player-boss Sean Ray is expecting a tough game against opponents tipped to do well this season but said: “We have got to make The Pilot Field our fortress.”
Bailo Camara is unavailable but summer signing Liam Upton is likely to be included in the squad. Kick-off is 7.45pm.
