Hornets interim bosses told permanent job is theirs to lose
Caretaker bosses Anthony Storey and Cliff Cant picked up their first win on Saturday and the job is theirs to lose according to Horsham’s chief executive John Lines.
With six new signings, the Hornets are looking much stronger and two more arrivals are expected this week to offset the departure of captain Ross Morley, who has gone to Redhill, and popular Billy-Joe King, who is taking a break from the game.

“They have brought new players in and won one game and lost very narrowly in the other one. There is no point in looking elsewhere while things are going well. They are in the driving seat and it’s theirs to lose. We are happy at the moment and Saturday will play a big part as to where we go.
“We have spoken to about eight people, not all interviews, but we are pretty confident that if necessary we can bring someone in.”
Storey said: “The next two games are at home and are huge for the club. It would be lovely to take another four to six points from those games, it’s a massive ask, though.

I have said I would love it until the end of the season to show what we can do, but it’s down to the directors and Horsham Football Club to make that decision. In the two games that we have been here we have improved, but we have got to keep that going for the rest of the season – that is the commitment we want.
