Ruddock set to skipper Bexhill XI
The club is happy to confirm that former Liverpool defender Ruddock will lead out their ‘Bexhill Select XI’; a team which will be made up of club veterans and local football personnel.
Razor will line-up in the tunnel next to ex-Arsenal midfielder Perry Groves, who will be captaining the Lashings squad. The game will take place on Thursday April 11 and it will kick-off at 6pm.

Hide AdEx-West Ham United and Everton striker Tony Cottee will be in the dugout as Lashings manager. Former pros Nigel Winterburn, Kerry Dixon, Mark Wright, Clayton Blackmore, Neil Webb, David Hillier, Steve Claridge, David Howells, Ian Allinson and Martin Hayes are all set to be part of Cottee’s squad.
Actor Ralf Little and chef Ainsley Harriott are also going to be present at the event, although whether they will be part of the Lashings playing squad is still unknown. Tickets for the game are priced at £5 per adult and £2 for under-16s. Gates will open at 5pm.
The game will be followed by a banquet and auction evening in a luxury marquee which can host up to 200 people. Cost of a place at the table for the meal is £45 per person or £400 for those who book a full table for ten.
Tickets for the event can be bought from the club at weekends when any of the teams are at home. Alternatively, tickets can be purchased from H&H Confectionery in Sackville Road or 48 Devonshire Road, Bexhill.
