We let Everton score too easily - Brighton defender Shane Duffy
The Toffees opened the scoring through Richarlison after a quick counter-attack from a Brighton corner on 26 minutes, before Lewis Dunk headed the equaliser shortly afterwards.
Seamus Coleman put Everton back ahead with a low 20-yard strike early in the second half, before Richarlison intercepted Dunk's pass and ran through to make it 3-1.

Hide AdDuffy, who was playing against the club where he started his career, said, “We kept the game tight for spells and we knew we were coming here to play against a good side.
“I think the biggest disappointment for us is the fact that we feel like we’ve let them score easily, because they didn’t have to work too hard for their goals.
“They scored from our corner at the other end but then we did well to get ourselves back into the game – at the break we spoke about how they were going to press, and we got undone.
“We made a few individual errors but that happens in football, so we have to dust ourselves down and get back to playing our football."
