Wick boss Block targets top 10
After a miserable start to the season, Block took over at the end of the August and has since put together a squad he believes is capable of challenging the top end of the table.
He said: “We’ve done okay, won six on the spin, and from the drastic state of the club at the start of the season, we’ve got some excellent players, who believe in themselves, and collectively we’ve done well.

“George Gaskin has scored seven since he joined us, and I’m very pleased with the way the whole team has come together.
“The RUR Cup doesn’t mean that much to me, but we’re in the quarter-finals so the boys want to do well in it.
“We’re hoping for a run in the Senior Cup as well, but we’ve got Worthing in that so we’ll see how we go. But our priority is the league and, while I’d like a top six finish, perhaps that’s a bit over ambitious so I’m looking at the top 10.”
