No tour card but still a good year
The Staplecross-based professional finished tied 59th in the Qualifying School Final Stage, with the top 25 and ties earning playing privileges for the tour next year.
As previously reported, Evans produced an astonishing recovery from tied 141st after the first two rounds at PGA Catalunya Resort in Spain to make the four-round cut on the mark in tied 62nd.

Hide AdHe concluded the epic 108-hole event with consecutive one-over-par rounds of 73 on Thursday and yesterday (Friday), both of them containing three birdies and four bogeys. That gave him a level par total of 428, nine shots outside the qualifying spots.
The fact that Evans made the cut will give him a good category on European Challenge Tour in 2014, although he had already secured a return to the second tier circuit by virtue of finishing fourth on the Alps Tour order of merit this season.
Evans, 26, celebrated his maiden tournament victory as a professional in Sardinia during October, as well as coming tied second and tied fourth in the first two stages of the Qualifying School. He was a regular on the Challenge Tour from 2008-2012.
