Horse Trials competitors show determination in atrocious rain
Organised by Gaye Harwood, who also designed the interesting cross-country courses, it is a regular feature of the calendar at the venue, which boasts splendid facilities in superb downland surroundings.
Competitions started on Friday with dressage for some of the Intro classes, continuing on Saturday and Sunday with all three disciplines across the remaining sections.

Hide AdTorrential rain marked the final day, which was given over to the Pre Novice section, where four classes were sponsored by Equitogs of Wisborough Green, largest equestrian retailers in the South East, and another three were sponsored by Harwoods Garages of Pulborough.
Gaye said: "The ground held up well despite the rain, but praise must go to competitors who turned up in dreadful conditions and competed with great enthusiasm and determination. Also thanks to Pulborough Scouts and Explorers who helped at fences throughout the event and all volunteers '“ it would be impossible to run the event without them."
