MORE POOR SPORTSMANSHIP
With the score on 43-2, Steyning captain Jeremy Green played a shot to mid-on and took a few paces down the track. A run was not on so he went back to his crease but at the same time, Jon Lord, standing at mid-on threw the ball towards Green's wicket.
For some reason, Green moved toward the ball and it struck him on the pad. This resulted in an appeal from an Eastbourne fielder.

Hide AdGreen felt he was back in his crease and the ball was not going to hit the stumps so Steyning believed Eastbourne should have just warned Green not to do it again.
However, they upheld the appeal and after consultation between the two umpires, Green was given out '” obstructing the field.
