Case of fewer people but Moore victories at Fontwell
But the faces in the winner’s enclosure are just those you’d expect to see.
At Fontwell’s second meeting since racing resumed post-lockdown, West Sussex trainer Gary Moore had three winners, two of them ridden by son Josh.

Hide AdIt was an upturn in fortunes for the Moore family at Fontwell after Gary’s other riding son, Jamie, suffered a nasty back injury in a fall at the track’s previous fixture.
Last Friday at the figure-of-eight jumps course it was Quloob, the 11/10 favourite, who got the Moores off to a winning start in the Final Furlong Podcast Novices’ Hurdle.
Moore snr made it two from two in the Sky Sports Racing Sky 415 Handicap Hurdle, won by 8/13 favourite Seaborn, with Niall Houlihan on board.
And victory for Josh Moore on 9/1 chance King Cool in the Watch Free Race Replays On attheraces.com Handicap Hurdle meant the yard had three winners from the first four races.

Hide AdOther winners on the day were Seaside Girl (7/2), Monkey Puzzle (7/4), Prabeni (15/2) , Ashutor (8/11 favourite) and Little Awkward (13/2). Trainers enjoying victories included Paul Nicholls and Oliver Sherwood.
Now Fontwell bosses - who also host racing this Sunday - will be keeping a keen eye on racing’s first fixtures with fans present – the St Leger meeting at Doncaster – hoping that racegoers will soon be wiedley welcomed back at racecourses. Fontwell is due to host racing on October 2, 3 and 21. –
