Pulborough are put to the sword at Kent contenders
It was always going to be a tough ask for a struggling Pulborough side beset with injuries to take anything from their long trip to a physical Sheppey side who sit second in the table.
The hosts’ larger pack inevitably out-scrummaged their less experienced visitors but after Sheppey had run in three early tries Pulborough gave themselves hope with a try of their own just before half-time, Guy Baxter squeezing over following a series of pick and goes from the back of the ruck.

Hide AdA strong wind had been behind Boro in the first period, but now facing it in the second half the visitors struggled to clear their lines and Sheppey ran in a number of further tries to finish comfortable winners.
Injured Pulborough skipper Richard Nicholls said: “Sheppey deserve their position in the league, they’ve got a strong set of forwards and backs but on a miserable day we put in a decent effort.”
