Raiders suffer narrow defeat at Cinderford
WORTHING Raiders Rugby Club lost their big relegation encounter 32-31 away to Cinderford in National 1 this afternoon.
Raiders, who led 21-13 at half-time, picked up two bonus points from the defeat and remain fourth from bottom but third-from-bottom Cinderford, who occupy the final relegation spot, have closed the gap on Worthing to three points, with three games in hand.
Second-from-bottom Henley are now four points behind Raiders, with a game in hand, after a 52-22 win at home to Wharfedale.
Looking up the table, Raiders are level on points with Tynedale after the same amount of games and just two points behind Loughborough Students.
