Wick's superiority brings no reward
An away win seemed unlikely earlier as Wick dominated the opening stages, harassing United's defence into a series of mistakes. However, when this superiority brought no tangible reward, they resorted to a series of long balls that United coped with more easily.
Having established a foothold in the game, United were denied by a marginal offside decision in the 32nd minute when Dave Schneider netted following good work by Mark Price. Both are former Wick strikers.

Hide AdHowever, Wick did not heed the warning and the duo combined again eight minutes later to put United ahead. Neil Shelley's pass enabled Price to have a clear shot that Wes Hallett could only parry to Schneider who swept the rebound home from 12 yards.
