ON June 19, our talented Chairman, Linda Godwin, presented a demonstration entitled 'Bon Voyage'.
She took us on an imaginary cruise, calling first at Pisa to visit the Leaning Tower, depicted in blue and white to represent the sky and clouds. Then on to Florence, Naples and Rome, where Linda had been particularly impressed by the statues. Her ar
rangement contained striking foliage and purple liatris, pink and white lilies, orange roses and deep pink gerberas. We next visited the wine-growing area of Tuscany, where a cast iron wine bottle holder depicted a grape vine, with foliage and flowers in shades of purple and red (she likes RED wine!).

After this, we took a rest from travelling to 'chill out' in the spa area on board with a modern arrangement in pinks and purples.

After a visit to St. Petersburg, our travels ended with a trip through the Panama Canal, depicting the barren landscape in dramatic foliage and flowers. Mary Roberts gave the vote of thanks for a very pleasant and relaxing evening.

A Garden Party is to be held at the home of our President, Sally Tapp, tomorrow, Saturday July 5 and the next club Meeting will be a demonstration by Jeanette Lane on July 17, entitled 'Impulse'. On September 18, we are looking forward to a demonstration by National Demonstrator, Susan Phillips, entitled 'September Song'. This promises to be a very good evening and visitors are welcome at an entrance fee of £5.

New members and visitors are warmly welcomed at our meetings - details of the Junior Club for seven-year-olds and over can be obtained from Val Gain on Hastings 437288 and the Senior Club from the Chairman on Hastings 772226.
